Natural Bug Repellant for Apple Trees

We have a few apple trees out here at Natural Plus and our trees are FULL this year. We wanted to make sure that we are protecting them from bugs as best we can. We don’t like to use sprays and chemicals on the food we eat, so for a few years, we’ve been using this all natural bug repellant or “Bug Juice” to attract the bugs away from the apples on the tree and into the solution.

Use a gallon milk jug with a hole cut out near the top.

In the jug put:

1/2 gallon water

1 cup apple cider vinegar

1 cup sugar

1/4 chopped banana peel

Hang the jugs on the lower branches near the trunk. We suggest putting 3 jugs per tree.

Then, in the fall, enjoy the fruits of your labor.
